BEST BURGER I'VE HAD IN A WHILE | TRUE FOOD KITCHEN

Let me start off by saying - this place has the best burger I've had in a loooong time.

I don't get burgers too often because a lot of places who don't "specialize" in burgers can make them too dry, too oily, etc.

So we went to a place recently called True Food Kitchen which is a chain restaurant with several different locations. They just opened a location in Walnut Creek, CA (northern California) so I decided to go and check it out!

They are a vegan, vegetarian and gluten-free friendly restaurant. Their whole motto is about living healthier by eating healthier. And to them, eating healthier doesn't mean taking away the flavors so everything still tastes amazing!

    WHAT WE ORDERED//

Grass Fed Burger - again....BEST burger I have had in a while. The meat itself is so juicy and tasty, I am practically drooling right now. The umami mushrooms in it really gave the burger that extra oomph* And don't forget the sweet potato hash on the side - it was so so so delicious as well.

Butternut Squash Pizza - this pizza has almond ricotta, kale, butternut squash and onions. Everything was really fresh and the squash itself was really sweet! The only complaint I might have (being a pizza snob) is the crust itself wasn't crispy enough. But, overall I would recommend this!

    How cute is that menu?

Apple Goji Crisp - this is basically a apple strudel with almond crumble and vanilla ice cream on top. The strudel itself is warm, and it contrasted really well with the ice cream. All their ice cream is gluten free and made in house! SOOO GOOD!

My only TIP: get the burger

Hope you enjoyed reading that! Follow me on Instagram to see what else I'm up to!
